Hey!

How are ya’?

Good, good. Me?

Busy, busy.

Back to work in the theatre. This time, I’m heading up costumes for the community production of “Into the Woods.” Yep. Costumes. No, I really don’t like to sew. Or, I would if’n I could count on the sewing machine to work without needing a filled bobbin. Or new thread colors. Or disentangled tangles. I do love to design, however, so I am thoroughly enjoying designing costumes for this show. My goal is for no actor to appear onstage naked. A worthy goal, yes? It is keeping me busy as always. And tired. And, of course, happy.

Dear Dave is involved as well. He is charged with creating the Giant’s chicken and Milky White the cow. One must be familiar with the show to fully comprehend the importance of his assignment. Fortunately the weather has cooperated enough for him to work in the garage, thus keeping his accumulation of crap out of my studio. And, yes, my studio has it’s own accumulation of crap, but it’s MY CRAP. Enough said.

I do miss working on this here blog. And I will return eventually. In the meantime, I will share the following conversation my brother recently had with our father:

So, Dad, you fell? Are you hurt? Should you give Becky a call (Becky being the lone sibling who lives near Dad, lucky duck.)?

Well, I tried calling Becky but she wasn’t home.

Uh, did you call her cell?

I CAN’T CALL HER CELL! I DON’T HAVE A CELL PHONE!!

Aaaahhhh. Haaaaaaaah.

And so our life continues.

Smile!!
